Overview
Bananas are among the world’s most widely consumed fruits, following global staples like wheat, rice, and corn. Originating in Southeast Asia thousands of years ago, bananas spread to the Americas in the 1500s and were later introduced to the Middle East and Africa by Arab traders. In India, bananas are cultivated year-round, particularly in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
Taj Agro is one of the most trusted banana pulp manufacturers in India, supplying premium-quality banana puree to both domestic and international markets. Our production facilities follow globally recognized food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a product that’s fresh, nutritious, and rich in natural banana flavor.
Banana Pulp Manufacturing Process
Taj Agro produces aseptic banana puree using high-grade, fully ripened Cavendish bananas. The fruits are harvested and transported under strict monitoring. Our production steps include:
- Ripening – Fruits are naturally ripened in temperature-controlled chambers to preserve flavor.
- Washing – Bananas are washed with chlorinated water followed by fresh water to eliminate contaminants.
- Peeling & Inspection – Peeling is done manually with visual inspection on conveyors.
- Pulping – Fruits are crushed into a fine puree using stainless-steel mills.
- Sterilization – The puree is heated at 85–95°C to eliminate microbes.
- Filtering & Metal Detection – The pulp is strained and passed through a metal detector to ensure purity.
- Aseptic Packaging – The final puree is packed in aseptic bags placed in MS drums with poly liners and stored in temperature-controlled warehouses.
